The Turnabout Programme is a self-help book for the parents of children with dyslexia, attention deficit disorders and other serious learning difficulties. Section three describes The Turnabout Programme of learning games. These make use of music, colour, dice and other familiar objects, are straightforward to administer, and do not require any specialist knowledge or prior training.

Section four advises parents how to plan and manage the process of training their child. It also focuses on rebuilding the self-esteem of teenagers after years of disappointment and provides a ten-point plan for encouraging the young person, now with improved capacity to learn, to rejoin mainstream academic life.
