Queen Ferris

Stunned when Reiffen and his mother willingly return to Ussene, the dreaded fortress of the Three, Avender and Ferris must go on with their lives. But they can never forget the gentle, happy boy who was the friend of their childhood.
Reiffen's hope? To fool the Wizards. Gain their knowledge, find their weak points, fight and defeat them so that he might regain the throne that is rightfully his...this is the only way to defy them. Soon, his friends begin to hear frightening rumors of Reiffen's collaboration in the evil schemes of Fornoch, Usseis, and Ossdone...and then there comes the irrefutable evidence that Reiffen has attacked and killed some of the nokken pups. It appears that Reiffen has finally been turned by the Three. Avender and Ferris can no longer hold their love for their friend in their young hearts. Even Ferris is forced to admit that Reiffen has finally succumbed to evil. In her sorrow she turns to Prince Brizen, the son of the very king who stole Reiffen's throne.
