What hope is there when all have been deceived?

The dreamworld has been prepared by the elves, and the children of the heroes of the Danelands must travel to face unknown dangers. They have no weapons or powers, only their minds and magical amulets around their necks to protect themselves from the dark power of the Bergkonge.

But are the amulets enough to protect the children from their enemy? The elves watch over the children as they sleep, but they are powerless to see or stop what happens in the dreamworld.

The children must take on the challenges of the dreamworld to open the path to the Bergkonge's lair in the real world, and all their parents can do is wait, and hope, in the penultimate book in the Bergkonge story arc in The Children of Ribe series.
