In the face of the Shadow, hope burns brightest in the heart of a protector.

The protectors have been endowed with ancient powers, created to protect the human world against the Shadow. For now, he remains trapped, but the Creator has warned he will be released. The protectors are this world's best hope.

Fast forward to the twenty-first century, the Creator has left Nick to lead the Protectors. Despite his discomfort at the legend of Father Christmas that's been built around him, Nick's true strength lies in his power to gift courage and hope, in the face of adversity.  

From the busy streets of New York, to a remote refugee camp in Ethiopia, Nick can feel the effects of the Shadow's dark influence increase.

Nick discovers an ancient book with a prophesy of a traitor. Tension unfolds and Nick fears that someone might already be searching for The Shadow. 

In a race against time and an unknown traitor, will Nick be able to reach the Shadow before it is released to destroy everything good in this world?
