Triumph: Taming the Monster Within, the autobiography and journal that the author kept as part of the healing process. The book tells of the abuse she received as a child, its impacts on her growing up, and what she did to overcome her doubts and reservations and made her dream come true. Being able to participate in the Summer Senior Olympics after 49 years of not running, the author's four years of intense training and her will to leave the past behind have given the author the triumph of finishing 7th, though with a torn hamstring, at the National Games in 2011. This incident has ended her career as a Sprinter.

The narration details not only the events that took place leading to the Senior Olympics and beyond but also the small and big things she did to overcome her monster and reclaim her life. She also shares a letter that she composed, as a cathartic practice, to her father and her views on health, wealth, and relationships.
