Comments about Rockhopping:

This is a follow-up to River Time (though would easily stand alone) and follows the adventures of Clancy and his Uncle Egg as they hike in the Grampians to find the source of the Glenelg River. The adventures were slightly more exciting than in the previous book, but the style of the fantastically detailed pictures of the beautiful natural environment continues to give a gentle vibe. The front cover suggests a picture book, but there are many words to read - it is a good read-out-loud to perhaps five years olds and up, and read alone for a confident 6-7year old and up - particularly those who love to pour over pictures as well as enjoy words to get the whole story.
