It's been a year since Jack and Beth got married, but their anniversary gets off to a bad start when Jack forgets to mark the occasion. His personal problems take a backseat, however, when he is faced with the job of trying to free a group of trapped schoolchildren whilst at the same time overcoming his own claustrophobia.

This popular series features a team of country doctors who work at The Beeches General Practice in the heart of the picturesque Peak District and focuses on the medical challenges and emergencies they and their patients have to face. It also follows the ups and downs in the personal lives of the doctors themselves and the local people living in the village of Cardale, blending strong medical stories, personal struggles, romance and humour.
