It's Moby Dick from the whale's point of view.

Near the end of his life, beached on the New England coast, the White Whale finally sets the record straight, spinning a tale of high adventure and rich emotion, of love and loss, of loathing and revenge. Propelling his story is Ahab, the mad captain fixated on the "monster" who took his leg. But Ahab's obsession is not one-sided. Whales, too, have long memories.

Fiction's most famous fish is not who we thought.

"Call me...anything," he says. "But do not call me Moby Dick."

Kirkus Reviews calls it a "new spin on the Melville classic. A modern literary reworking that ... captures the spirit of its inspiration."

Industry Reviews

"Adamo fully imagines and inhabits the minds and bodies of his cetacean characters, as well as the world they live in and their relationships with one another. It's a generous gift to the reader. As much as this is a book about revenge, it's about the bonds, memories, and treasured responsibilities that draw us in another direction." - Cheri Johnson, author of Annika Rose and The Girl from Duluth

"Adamo's action-packed Moby-Dick role-reversal takes place almost totally underwater, and it showcases the author's research...the prose is energetic and informed...the battle scenes are consistently powerful. Overall, the work should interest those looking for a new spin on the Melville classic." - Kirkus Reviews

"5 out of 5 stars." - OnlineBookClub.org
