Good looking, wisecracking house painter Jacko loves women. All women. Young or old, pretty or plain, fat or thin... he just can't leave them alone. The trouble is, his intentions are often misunderstood, especially by his irascible boss, Lionel (Gary Waldhorn) who will go to any length to keep the saucy painter and decorator away from his female relations and colleagues.

Even Jacko's workmate and brother-in-law, Eric, cannot keep track of all the complications and misunderstandings in Jacko's love life. Jacko's fatal attraction to women leads him from one disaster to the next - first there is Sandra in the office; then Lesley, the boss' daughter; not to mention Veronica (Elizabeth Cousell), the boss's neglected wife!

Written by the creators of The Good Life, Brush Strokes became one of the BBC's most popular comedies of the 80s, and now all thirteen episodes from Series One and Two are collected together in this two disc set, featuring the top-charting theme tune "Because of You" by Dexy's Midnight Runners.
