It explores themes of behaviour, friendship and safety. Reading Gems is a series designed to spark a love of reading. About the Author

Lucy Barnard grew up in a very artistic family and knew from an early age that she wanted to work in illustration. After graduating from the University of Plymouth with an illustration degree, Lucy worked in publishing for a time, before becoming a freelance illustrator and realising her ambition of working on children's books.
