I am a survivor. A builder. An advocate. A mother. A lover and friend. I am human. I am now and will forever be "Under Construction."
_Julia Harriet
Under construction refers to a building, structure, or project that is unfinished but actively being worked on. Meet Julia Harriet - a woman under construction. This unlikely story reveals how one woman:
- transitioned from teacher to professional construction worker.
- built her own house and helped construct the dreams of others along the way.
- learned to demolish without undermining the structure.
- had the courage to take risks and confront dangerous stereotypes.
- discovered her own resilience through the powerful magic of a community coming together.
This is the story of how one woman transformed loss, trauma, and darkness into the building blocks of a fulfilling life for herself and her family. It's about life's messiness and how we are all builders, even if we can't assemble IKEA furniture.
