When empathetic live-in tutor Cillian Rains accepts a high-paying position at the secluded Ashworth Estate, he believes he is rescuing Rhys, the Senator's fragile teenage son, from his cold, controlling mother, Anya.

The evidence is overwhelming: Cillian witnesses a physical mark, discovers Anya's chilling journal entries detailing "containment", and uncovers a plot to exile Rhys to an overseas facility. Blinded by his protective instinct, Cillian plots a desperate escape, convinced he is fighting a monster in a cream suit.

But the house is not what it seems.

Cillian's conviction only tightens the noose. Every stolen key, every desperate phone call, and every secret confession to Rhys is a calculated step in a frame being meticulously constructed by the very boy he sought to save. Cillian's frantic actions are documented in his own desperate words, painting him as an unstable, obsessive psychopath.

The climax arrives when Cillian gives Rhys a single sedative to calm him before their escape. The next morning, the police arrive-not to arrest Anya, but to find both parents in critical condition from a massive overdose. The hero son, Rhys, is weeping, pointing the finger directly at Cillian.
