For the giggling masses who love Herve Tullet's modern classic Press Here and BJ Novak's #1 NYT bestseller The Book With No Pictures comes this brilliant Australian book that will frustrate ... and delight!

For the Grown-Ups:

You know how you're right all the time? All. The. Time. Yes, well, it's time to give the kids a turn. Which is why everything you read in this book is going to be wrong. But that's okay, because the kids are going to correct you. And they're going to love it!

Industry Reviews

'The kids are having a ball (whoops, having fun) and a discussion is born.'
4 stars, Good Reading

'Our new family favourite ... a hilarious ride and one that adults and kids will both love'

'Funny, clever, deliciously dry... this book encourages kids to think outside the square, and hopefully, somewhere deep in that unlimited subconscious, understand that what we see is all about perception. What a powerful thought.'
Kid's Book Review

Great book!

Very good book that children love to read!

Best kids book ever!

This book is so funny. Every time we read it to our kids, they laugh and scream the whole way through. What a genius concept.

My Little Miss LOVES this book!

My little girl loves her books - even though she is busy learning her letters, she memorises her story books and 'reads' them back with lots of gusto. This one is fantastic, also teaches her that not everything everyone says is necessary right but in a fun way.

A definite 'buy again' book.

Reading it to 4 year old who loved it Loved the fact that it was a really silly, fun book 'demanding' interaction between reader and listener. A special needs child, (possible autistic) DID NOT like it - couldn't handle, for example, 'this is a ball' when quite clearly it was a cube. He became quite distressed

A funny book for narrator versus listener

In this book the reader-narrator (O, Great Wise Adult) establishes that reader and listener agree on several initial simple pictures and their words. Then the page turns, the listener sees a cube, and the reader solemnly declares, "This is a ball". Naturally the listener is expected to disagree, but the adult-in-charge insists, and presses on. The next picture is an elephant, but the reader declares, "This is a dog," and hastens to point out that the animal has four legs and a tail so it MUST be a dog! And so it goes. The picture of a car is stated to be a bicycle ("Look at the wheels!"), and the picture of a weird alien is a princess! Tussling all the way, reader and listener meet an increasing complexity of princesses flying a kit and bouncing on a ball ... until the narrator solemnly declares, "This is not the end of the book." Oh, yeah, right! The conceptual conflict between reader's declarations and explanations are guaranteed to tickle young listeners' senses of humour, and please any passing adults who have not forgotten how to play with words, pictures and ideas.
