This book grabbed my attention from the first page and never let go. I learned so much about the culture of the area. I am guilty of just reading the headlines and never delving into foreign policy too deeply. This story was a real eye opener for me. The character development was excellent. This is a great book. Well written. I'm not good at reviews, but I am good at what I like and this is a good read. After reading this story I'll never listen to the news with the same ears again. The story is raw, shows how low humanity is sinking. Sultans characters are so strong they will remain in my thoughts for a very long time. I'm impatiently waiting for a sequel. -Eunice Cooper-Matchett
