A thought-provoking collection of contemporary short stories from the winner of the Arthur C. Clarke award 2013.

Chris Beckett's thought-provoking and wide-ranging collection of contemporary short stories is a joy to read, rich in detail and texture.

From stories about first love, to a man who discovers a labyrinth beneath his house, to an angel left alone at the end of the universe, Beckett displays both incredible range and extraordinary subtlety as a writer. Every story is a world unto itself - each one beautifully realised and brilliantly imagined.

Industry Reviews
The Eden trilogy is a remarkable achievement: with wit, insight and invention Beckett has imagined a scientific Genesis not just about a society, but about the culture and myths that sustain it. It is both politically astute and theologically compelling. -- Stuart Kelly * Guardian *
Chris Beckett is a genius * Eric Brown bestselling author of THE SERENE INVASION *
Eden is building into one of most vivid and fascinating places in modern SF. -- Eddie Robson * SFX (review for The Eden Trilogy) *
Mother of Eden is a masterpiece * Guardian *
A classic theme, beautifully told * Sunday Telegraph on Dark Eden *
A captivating and haunting book * Daily Mail on Dark Eden *
Stunning... Arthur C. Clarke award-winner Beckett depicts frail human beings struggling with often overwhelming emotional trauma and occasionally achieving redemption, set against the backdrop of an indifferent universe. The result is a brilliantly different take on what it means to be alive in the 21st century. * Guardian *
