Dr. Brigadier Umar Sattar (Ph.D., National Defence University, Egypt) holds a distinguished academic and professional background in the field of strategic and security studies. He earned his M.Phil in War Studies and achieved the unique distinction of completing his Ph.D. in National Strategy with grade "Distinction" from the National Defence University, Egypt.

With a diverse career in the Pakistan Army, he has held multiple command, staff, and instructional appointments and has also served in United Nations Peacekeeping Missions abroad.
