About the Author

Think Rex Hunt meets Francis Mallmann, with a dash of Anthony Bourdain thrown in for good measure, and that's Duncan Welgemoed - a South African-born chef and the founder of Adelaide's highly acclaimed and award-winning Africola. Head chef at The Goose at Britwell Salome, Oxfordshire, when it was awarded a Michelin star in 2005, Duncan arrived in South Australia in 2010 and opened Africola shortly after.
