Renowned motorsport commentator and writer David Addison selects his top 12 drivers then delves into the careers of the true greats. Legendary racers selected and profiled include pioneers Jim Clark and Jackie Stewart, 1970s and 1980s heroes James Hunt and Nigel Mansell, plus current hero Lewis Hamilton.

About the Author

David Addison is the voice of British motorsport. David has led the ITV4 commentary team for the British Touring Car Championship for a decade and is the on-track announcer for the British Grand Prix where in 2022 he commentated to the trackside race day Formula 1 crowd of 142,000. He went to his first motor race as a five-year-old and was hooked straight away. He began commentating in 1991 and has covered the likes of GT World Challenge Europe, the FIA European Truck Racing Championship, British Rallycross Championship and Goodwood events. From Formula 1 to Le Mans, television and track commentaries, awards dinners and press conferences, David has an enviable CV. He is also a podcast host and is a Motorsport News columnist. Immortals of British Motor Racing is his first book.
