Industry Reviews
A lovely one for mother and daughter to read and discuss how people approach changes in their lives and become stronger. -- Creative Kids Tales * Creative Kids Tales *
Thought-provoking and an excellent read. * Bookrapt *
There is also a smattering of some of my favourite book characters - fairies. Yep a realistic fiction story with some fairies. Perfection. * Children's Books Daily *
The whole story is beautifully written with family and friendship its central theme. * Lamont Books *
This is a many-layered story of refugees, of finding a place to call home, a place of safety. Through the stories Maddy hears, she is better able to accept her change and dislocation, as well as learn more about her own family. * ReadPlus *
Written with a depth of understanding about the feelings of homelessness, Ananda Braxton-Smith gives Maddie's feelings of anger, isolation and disbelief a powerful voice. * ReadPlus *
