We say it is for 6 and up. The six year olds or even younger will just like the photos. If you or the reader is older than 6, as in, an adult, then you probably just love dogs and have a real affinity with old dogs. Great text and great photographers... but then again, both the author and photographer are Pulitzer prize winners so you would expect that. Really great value. Enjoy!
