This book includes over 70 landscape orientated blank pages for creating your own mind maps and keeping them in one place - no more losing them or having precious pages blowing away in the wind. The book also includes a very short introduction to mind maps, with drawn examples, and information on their uses in study, revision and creating new work. (If you are totally new to mind mapping, check it out online.) Five of the mind map pages include a faint outline of a generic mind map to help you start creating your own mind maps and the rest are blank, except for a small mandala in one corner. You can use this to color in, perhaps to indicate a page is complete, or you could use different colors to act as an index of subjects.Mind Maps make it easier to learn, revise, organize and create fresh work faster. They are also much more fun than sitting down "to revise" and can be very motivating because: * They use key words and short phrases - no long sentences in the planning and creation phase;* They are colorful, you are encouraged to use lots of color and include simple figures, icons and diagrams;* They help learning by stimulating visual recognition and memory and by keeping all information on one page;* You are actively engaging with your work, which reduces boredom and helps with learning;* They help you visualize your work as a whole, rather than in linear format over several pages.Use this book to create mind maps to plan an essay or dissertation, to map out a story, to revise study notes and ensure you understand them all, to remember parts of speech, historic events, foreign language vocabulary and relationships between events. There are many more uses for mind maps in education and they can be used at all levels, from elementary up to graduate student, as well as by lecturers planning presentations.
