The year is 3017.
Before Aero-cars or space-rockets, humans or dinosaurs; before our planet was home to any form of breathing organism, a race more powerful than you can imagine watched over from a planet known as Prehistoria. The Menosaurs, as they are known, first discovered Planet Earth which they called Mordex. To them it was the richest planet beyond their solar system, beyond their galaxy. Why? Earth was the greatest known source of an invaluable rock named Grandidierite, known to them as Astronomite.
Half-dinosaur half-human themselves, the Menosaurs took Planet Earth as their own. Here, over two-hundred-and-thirty million years ago, they created dinosaurs in their own image, used the Earth as their harvest grounds, wanting to evolve symbiotically with their surroundings.
But they weren't the only race among the undiscovered solar-systems that wanted ownership of our planet. The Mantoids, sworn enemy to the Menosaurs, had their beady eyes on the same prize.
Back on Earth, Rex, a technologically-adapted fourteen-year-old boy, half-tech half-human, and his rather paranoid furry yeti-droid care-taker, Rion, find Tarock the young Menosaur whose asteroid egg-capsule crashes into Earth near their home, on route to Prehistoria. Unfortunately, the U.S. Marines have also been alerted to the alien capsule's arrival, and they're not about to let this 'thing' walk free.

Great science fiction for middle grades kids!

By Rhea M., Amazon.com Top Contributor, March 18, 2016

This is a great science fiction adventure book for kids, grade three and up! The unique story of Rex and his half robot brain, his yeti-droid (love the idea of this!) and their close friendship, and the way they meet Tarock, lost in a world that he thought to be extinct millions of years before. I love the idea of the Menosaurs, talk of other planets that sustain complex life, and the struggle to do what's right and help Tarock.

As a longtime upper elementary school teacher, I can picture many of my students enjoying this book, especially those who read series such as Animorphs and Artemis Fowl. Highly recommend to your favorite dinosaur loving, sci-fi reading, fourth or fifth grader!

Amazing Tale!

An amazing story, apparently for children but I certainly enjoyed it! Finished it within a day and can't wait to continue on with Tarock, Rex and Rion. An amazing adventure story with plenty of incredible twists and turns. I've certainly not read anything like it before and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The world of the future and the world of Prehistoria is so well described and developed and the characters are well created, it's a must for anyone, no matter your age. I enjoyed the action too, and can certainly say I can imagine this making an epic movie. I did find I had the odd reminder of Star Wars throughout, along with Jurassic Park, but so much more! Now, if only I can get my hands on a yeti-droid, that'd be something.
Well done Simon, you've created an amazing tale and I look forward to reading more from you!

Action-Packed Sci-Fi Adventure!

By Ginny Jalen, on March 2, 2016

My 11 yr old son and me both really enjoyed this creative futuristic adventure of the half droid boy, Rex, with his Internet brain, and his caring 7 foot yeti-droid, who portrays his own unique style and humor. The story flows wonderfully and is so action-packed we kept wanting to read the next enjoying page to see what was going to happen! The ending is no different in that it leaves you eagerly anticipating more, and we can't wait for a 2nd part of this series. Honestly throughout I couldn't help but think that this story would make a very successful sci-fi movie... maybe even an Xbox or PlayStation game, as there are many enchanting parts that any audience is sure to be drawn into. Great job with flowing, imaginative writing skills, Simon. Thanks for the enjoyment and please keep up the exciting work!
