What interests me is the business of telling a story. Reading Stevenson was as great a revelation as stumbling across Wilkie Collins. This is the story of David Balfour, a Highland Whig, on the run through Scottish Highlands in the company of one of the great heroes of all time - Alan Breck, the Jacobite.
