In the 1920s and 1930s the Yolngu of north-east Arnhem Land encountered intruders into their land. In 1932 and 1933 they killed 5 Japanese and 3 white men. White settlers demanded retribution. This is an account of the killings, the protests to revenge killing of Aboriginals, and the trials in Darwin.
