John

John was one of Jesus' closest and most trusted friends. By the time he penned his Gospel, he had witnessed not only the phenomenal growth of the church but also the struggles the early believers faced when it came to persecutions and false teaching who tried to lead them astray. John's focus in his Gospel is to remind his readers Jesus was the divine Son of God who came clothed in human flesh-and that he offers eternal life to all who believe in him.
