Industry Reviews

"'Who was she (Angelina) really? What made her like this?' One of the minor characters, Elena asks these questions of the enigma that is the main character, Angelina. Do we love Angelina, hate her, or feel sorry for her? Is she deep down a hero or an antihero in this fast moving dark story that spans several countries with the characters caught up in the crazy, dangerous world of drug cartels?

A fast-moving, thrilling read."

- Judith Flitcroft, author of Walk Back in Time

Praise for Book 1 of the Dark Illusion Trilogy:

"Watch Your Back is a novel written by Marion Hughes about a family at odds with each other - of initial poverty, then riches and ultimately greed. Intermingled with this, a compelling contrast of characters, larger than life, intensified with the lurking continual question - whodunit and why?

Definitely a page turner and a good read!"

- Mary Michaels, author of It's a Matter of Trust
