Grace Taylor opens the letter she receives with trembling hands. She knows the words she is about to read will either cause her great happiness or heart-wrenching despair. On her tenth birthday she discovered she was not only adopted, but the daughter of a part-aboriginal woman. She has felt lost and unloved ever since. Will finding her mother bring an end to these feelings? Or, will she discover that she must make a choice, between proudly accepting her aboriginality or turning her back and walking away from the one man who will bring her lasting happiness and peace?

Grace: Book 2 The Dreaming Series - Amazon Customer Reviews.

'A beautifully written story of love and vindication. I loved the pace and content of this Australian story, true to the country and people it was written about. The gentle narrative echoes older Australian bush writers, but it is my times that is being described. A wonderful second book in the series - and I am looking forward to the third book.' - Peter Quinton, Amazon.

'This book, the second in the Dreaming series by Jan Reid, had me totally hooked. After reading the first in the series, Deep Water Tears, I was really looking forward to it. I couldn't help falling love with the characters. Once Grace meets her mother a wonderful relationship soon builds between them and also with her brother Daryl. My sympathies for Grace were soon engaged as she learns to come to terms with her origins despite efforts by others to belittle her family and their background. l loved the chemistry and developing romance between Grace and Dan and wanted so much to see it blossom despite social issues almost pulling them apart. The dreaming stories related in the book are so interesting to read and give you a little insight into Australian Aboriginal mythology. Jan has done her research well and I found myself fully and emotionally involved right from the first chapter. The ending leaves us hanging on for the next book in the series. A beautiful book which I highly recommend.' - Christine Ramsay, Amazon.

'Grace, is a wonderful book written by Jan Reid. Jan has a way of making the reader get pulled into the story as soon as they start to read it. It is a story of racism and love. There is no color barrier when it comes to love and Jan has an excellent way of bringing that across to the reader. As I read it I felt that I was right there with the characters watching them, seeing the expression on their faces, listening to them intently, and wondering when the next turn in the story was going to come about. I can't wait to read Jan's next book because I know the writing will be exceptional and I know she will make me feel like I am a part of the story. Giving someone that feeling is only brought about because an exceptional writer!' - Larry W. Fish, Amazon.
