About the Author

As a child Keith Gray found reading a chore, and credits Robert Westall’s The Machine Gunners with awakening his love of reading and, later, writing. His debut novel, Creepers, was published when he was 24, and was shortlisted for the Guardian Children’s Fiction Prize. He has gone on to be shortlisted for all of the major prizes for his novels, including Ostrich Boys. He lives near Edinburgh.
