Nicky V is a real thrill ride through the days when mobsters and other shady characters "worked" to make a buck in a lot of the dark and mysterious places in Chicago and beyond, that Larry Weindruch and Richard Yach portrayed so well. There were plot twists and turns all the way to the finish. The authors really blasted this one out of old Comiskey Park. You'll enjoy Nicky V!

Nicky V is a fast-paced excellent read. Fans of noir fiction will be delighted. It was so easy to become invested in the fate of not only the "not-so-good-guys" and even the "really bad guys." If you like books with cops and mobsters and double-crossers, pick up this book and enjoy a trip back to late 1950s Chicago.

Nicky V is a spellbinding piece of fiction superbly written by two very talented writers. It takes place in the 1950s in Chicago involving crime and the mob. You will find it very difficult to put the book down once you start reading it.

The authors weave a high-action tale of crime and the criminal element in late 1950s Chicago. The story centers around the theft of a gleaming 1959 Chrysler Imperial Crown and the underworld automobile culture of the time. The characters are of the mixed moral ilk reminiscent of a classic film noir.
This story moves as fast as the 1950s classic cars on the streets of Chicago. The book is highly entertaining and leaves the reader with some unanswered questions. We look forward to the continuation of the story!

In the mood for a murder mystery, a throwback to the time when police detectives relied on their guts and wits and not Google and crime databases? Then sink your teeth into "Nicky V: A Chicago Crime Story," by Larry Weindruch and Richard A. Yach.
I found the book hard to put down and wanted to continue reading more. There is so much action going on, you are never bored. About the time you think you know where the story is going there's a twist. I also enjoyed learning about the history of places in Chicago. I highly recommend reading Nicky V: A Chicago Crime Story. It's easy to read but hard to put down!
