More recently there has been a decrease incidenceinbleedingdiseasesofthegutandthereforeadecreasinginterestinthe scholarlywritingaboutthesediseases. Therehasnotbeenamajortextbookwritten aboutgutbleedinginover10yearsandthereforetheintentionofthistextbookisto ?llthatvoidbyprovidingareviewofacomprehensiveapproachtouppergut, mid, andlowergutbleeding. CliniciansatDukeUniversitywhohaveacommoninterestinthegastrointes- naltracthavecollaboratedintheconstructionofthistext.
