Finding the Illusion is a story about a family whose daughter commits suicide, as well as a story about family dynamics. Illusions are empty. The characters have, as most people do, defined themselves by what they do, how successful they have become. For this family an interior life is an alien landscape circumstances forced upon them. Their lives have been shaped by their background, parents, grandparents and invisible attitudes passed down through generations. Each has his or her story, and as they interact with the quick and the dead, their stories come to life. Finding the Illusion is about life. It is about living, and the realities which surround each life. Crystal, Stephanie, Rob and Sam have their stories and it is through the window of each the reader will find the reality of their illusions.
