This series is full of historical facts, Christian values and characters, and a main character who is a solid role model for young readers. I recommend it for readers as young as 11 or 12. It's reminiscent of Little House on the Prairie and is a great addition to the Christian MG/YA market. I recommend starting the series with the first book, Emeline: A Journey. M. Liz Boyle
