Written in 2015, Dark Rising could be seen as being somewhat of a premonition about the current worldwide health crisis known as Coronavirus. This story is about a very strange pandemic that hits the world's population, and the crisis is caused by one of the biggest parts of nature itself--the sun. Some of the symptoms of these solar diseases include burning, stinging and blackened skin, scorched internal organs, and a possible long and agonizing death. As the US government works hard to try to combat these deadly infections, more cases begin to show up everyday, and when the first pandemic subsides, another one may be right behind it, waiting to finish off the rest of the Earth's population.
