About the Author
Ren&eactue;e Trem is an artist, a writer and a mom, although not necessarily in that order. Her illustrations are created primarily with scratchboard, although she still loves to pull out the paint and brushes and get colourful. These days Ren&eactue;e is trying to master digital illustration to reduce waste for projects that don’t necessarily need ‘originals.’ Wherever possible, she utilizes eco-friendly practices in her studio and product line. Renée has three picture books published by Random House Australia, One Very Tired Wombat, Colour for Curlews, and The Great Garden Mystery.
'Readers will take particular delight in the wonderfully messy - and colourful - ending.' - Kids' Book Review
'This multi-coloured picture book combines Treml’s love of mixing colours with her passion for native birds, so it’s a double-whammy for readers. Her artwork is crisp, yet subtly detailed and her splashes of colour bring joy to every page.' - Marian McGuinness, Buzz Words Books
