Set in 1945, three boys hide in a Berlin drain at the war's end. The rules of their favourite war-game have been changed and now the bullets are real. Two fight for supremacy while the third, an even younger boy, just wants to go home. His incomplete indoctrination and the closing threat of the Russians force these two Hitler Youth to face the fact that the war has been lost. Adults have betrayed them. It's all been in vain. This play explores youth, militarism, history and freewill.
