Good looking, wisecracking house painter Jacko loves women. All women. Young or old, pretty or plain, fat or thin... he just can't leave them alone. The trouble is, his intentions are often misunderstood: why is it that no one will believe that his intentions are entirely honourable?

Series Five and Six finds Jacko returning from his overseas adventure, but soon discovers the holiday is over when faced with a few shocks from friends and family. Not only that, his painting business has gone south and faces closure. Things look rosier upon meeting a beautiful Italian girl... despite her over-protective brothers. Will Jacko finally find that elusive thing called love? Or is he destined to remain the happy-go-lucky bachelor?

Written by the creators of The Good Life, Brush Strokes became one of the BBC's most popular comedies of the '80s, and now all fourteen episodes from the final two series are collected together in this three disc set, featuring the top-charting theme tune "Because of You" by Dexy's Midnight Runners.
