The Nice Guys is an upcoming 2016 American mystery thriller comedy film directed by Shane Black and co-written with Anthony Bagarozzi. It stars Russell Crowe, Ryan Gosling, Angourice Rice, Matt Bomer, Margaret Qualley, Keith David and Kim Basinger. This is the second collaboration between Russell Crowe and Kim Basinger sinceL.A. Confidential (1997).

The film takes place in 1970’s Los Angeles, when down-on-his-luck private eye Holland March (Ryan Gosling) and hired enforcer Jackson Healy (Russell Crowe) must work together to solve the case of a missing girl (Margaret Qualley) and the seemingly unrelated death of a porn star. During their investigation, they uncover a shocking conspiracy that reaches up to the highest circles of power.
