The story explores David's conflicted feelings towards his live-in grandmother, who often says and does strange things.

When popular Ruben Plotnick invites himself over, David is particularly worried about how this class clown will react to Grandma Rosie and her unpredictable behaviour. But the visit turns out to be a great success and a revelation to David, who learns something about Ruben and more about himself. As narrator, David is perceptive, honest and funny, openly sharing his fears and feelings. Its joyous, colourful illustrations and a poignant ending make this a memorable book.

About the Author

Roz was a winner of the Highlights Magazine humorous fiction contest in 2000, and her stories have appeared in Highlights and Cricket Magazines. Roz has published twelve picture books. Roz lives in New Rochelle, New York.
