Blackwood

BLACKWOOD

The law stops at the timberline. But Eldridge Sample is bringing it to their front door.

When bounty hunter and former federal man Eldridge Sample rides into the high country, he expects a straightforward manhunt. His target: Julian Quinn, a sharp-dressed assassin who slashed a judge's throat in a Denver alleyway.

But when Eldridge drags his captive into the remote, rain-soaked logging town of Blackwood, he realizes he hasn't just captured a killer-he's walked into a war zone.

Blackwood isn't a town; it's an empire. And it belongs to timber baron Elias Croft. Croft paid for the assassination, and he has zero intention of letting his hired gun hang from a federal rope. With the transport train thirty-six hours away, Croft offers Eldridge a choice: take a fortune in gold and ride away, or die in the mud.

Eldridge doesn't take deals.

Trapped in a valley controlled by a ruthless tycoon, Eldridge must survive a relentless siege against sixty heavily armed loggers, corrupt lawmen, and a brutal winter storm. From a fiery standoff in the town jail to a bloody, close-quarters hunt in a massive iron lumber mill, Eldridge must rely on his Colt Peacemaker, a heavy Springfield carbine, and his own ruthless instincts to keep his bounty alive.

Blackwood is a gritty, full-throttle Western action adventure packed with frontier justice, intense shootouts, and unbreakable resolve. Perfect for fans of classic cowboy stories, survival fiction, and violent historical thrillers where the only law is the one you enforce yourself.

Will Eldridge Sample survive the deadliest town in the West, or will he become just another body buried in the high timber?
