We are taught that conflict happens to us. The harder truth is that it begins within us.
Every war, every rivalry, every broken relationship begins with the same human forces: the desire for more and the pursuit of dominance. In Beyond Boundaries, Pramod Bhatt traces these forces across history, psychology, economics, and geopolitics, revealing how the same dynamics that fracture families also fracture nations.
Bhatt writes with rare authority. In 1999, he commanded an infantry company at 17,000 feet in the Kargil War, where he was greeted on arrival not with salutes but with shellfire.
He then spent over two decades as a multinational crisis executive, leading enterprise responses to the Mumbai attacks, the Fukushima disaster, COVID-19, the Russia-Ukraine war, and the wars among Iran, Israel, and the United States, including coordinating a high-risk civilian extraction from Russian-occupied territory. From the battlefield to the boardroom, he kept finding the same pattern: an Internal Spark of unchecked desire igniting an Engine of Dominance.
