As described in the introduction, Christian argues that Language would be tolerable without epigrammatic sayings, but if we wish to relish language, to point a moral or adorn a tale, we must flavour our speech with proverbs. This title holds six classes, dividing the proverbs into themes: human failings; worldly wisdom; peculiarities; social and moral subjects; agriculture, and animals.
