'Baz and Raz' is a worthy entry for 'The children's Book of the Year Award' 2025. It is a story that engages even the most reluctant readers.

Like many of the classic children's books of the past it such as Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn it recognises and celebrates the awareness and wisdom of children aged between 10 and 12.

The main characters are orphans, children for whom life is not easy and whose future is not filled with optimism.
