Mixing fact and fiction this is a super story to introduce kids to the Detective genre. It's very easy to read and contains enough interest to keep kids attention without swamping them with difficult language or unnecessary detail. Although the protagonists are both female this book would clearly appeal to both boys and girls.
The fast-paced, but not scary, storyline would make a great bedtime read for a child wanting the next stage on from a picture book.
