Are we doing missions wrong? And burning out missionaries in the process?
Jackson Strider believed we were in the very golden age of missions. Recently developed methodologies for making disciples and starting movements were, in his view, the long-lost strategy of the apostles. Following them meant success; ignoring them meant failure.
But after several years, something felt off. The methods were not living up to the hype. Practices that had once seemed empowering had come to feel exhausting. Something needed to change-but what?
A Brighter Vision is an invitation to rethink missions from the ground up. It is a call to focus less on strategies, statistics, and speed and more on abiding in Christ and abounding in the Spirit. Intended for missionaries and church leaders, the book will come as a message of refreshment and relief to the many people today who are also feeling that something is not right with the way we see missions.
