Within the authoritarian structure of this enduring human society, trouble is now growing between the Midclass and the increasingly abusive Harbor Elites. Powerful visionary revelations give the Middies hope, but when midclass pilot Marc uncovers an unprecedented and highly dangerous artifact that he and Kera discover controls a massive alien craft, it places them into personal conflict with Marc's old nemesis, Anibale Prime Blue, one of the leading Elite contenders to become the next alien tech-enhanced supreme ruler of mankind known as ZEK.

This Second Domain of Humanity has itself long been at risk of another surprise attack and destruction from some other active doomsday ship, and Marc's discovery sets off a chain of events that could lead to that annihilation or to war and revolution throughout the widespread human worlds. He must keep his secret system hidden as ZEK and the Color Suite Primes compete to possess his active controller in a high-stakes game to acquire ultimate authority.
