Author P.W. Borgman has crafted an illuminating freshman novel which vibrates with strong characters and surprising twists. Just when I thought I'd figured out the entire plot, Windfall took a turn and moved to next-level intrigue. Ms. Borgman's prose is engaging and visceral...I could feel panic creep into my chest at various points throughout the book, and found myself wiping away tears during its most heartbreaking passages. I couldn't stop reading, and spent several late nights that evolved into early mornings. Windfall left me contemplating my life and how quickly things can change!
