White Witches

On the thirteenth day of the thirteen-month following Ruby’s thirteenth birthday, Ruby's world is turned upside down. Huddled in the soft warm arms of her mother-seated next to the fireside in their tired old cottage in Scotland-her mother reveals a dark secret. Ruby is one of a family of nine White Witches. A remarkable family of male and female witches from all over the world; each one with their own precious jewel and extraordinary powers.  

The weight of such a responsibility is crushing.  Ruby knows instinctively what she must do.  Learn how to use the powers carefully and wisely- always making sure its magic helps and protects others.  She will never let the Ruby fall into the hands of evil. Her mother explains, only by completing a long pilgrimage fraught with some danger would she be ready for her new life.  Ruby's heart races through every step of this exciting but treacherous adventure. Gripping her own precious jewel - the Red Ruby of Braeriach as it powers her through each magical realm.  Her path is littered with trickery and wickedness.  The Sable Witches are using every crumb of dark magic they can muster to stop her.   Ruby pushes through it with gritted teeth and a heart filled with absolute determination.   She is toe-to-toe with mad pixies, poison, giant spiders, beetles, dragons and the infamous dark shadows all pushing Ruby to her limits.  Never wavering from her purpose and driven by a deep seated longing to complete her learning she is fraught with doubt.  Will she ever become a true White Witch in the realm of Validor!

The White Witches and their nine precious jewels are Witches like you have never seen before. One thing which makes them so very different is, they only use their magic to do good. They are quite exceptional characters who are full of life, with pockets crammed full of so many surprises the seams are threatening to burst!
