Where There's A Will

'I've never written about my life before; not because I didn't have a story, but because I didn't feel like I'd lived enough. I wanted to wait until I was ready, until I had perspective. And now, the time has come. I've lived life. I've felt it. I've enjoyed some amazing times, same as I've made mistakes, learned from them and come out the other side still standing... now feels like exactly the moment to tell my story.'

Will Mellor is one of Britain's most-loved actors and entertainers. From soaps including Hollyoaks, Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps and Coronation Street to roles in acclaimed dramas such as Line of Duty, Mr Bates vs the Post Office and A Woman of Substance, he has spent more than three decades winning over audiences with his humour, heart and irresistible charm.

But Will's path to success has been anything but straightforward.

Raised in a chaotic council house near Stockport, Greater Manchester, Will grew up surrounded by challenges. One of his four older sisters, Joanne, faced severe physical and mental disabilities. His dad spent time in prison. Money was scarce, life was unpredictable and dreams of stardom felt impossibly far away.

Yet somehow, Will never stopped believing. Driven by an unshakable determination, he clung to one ambition: to perform.

In this candid, funny and deeply moving memoir, Will reveals the defining moments of his life. From the chance moment that propelled him to fame as Jambo to his emotional journey on the Strictly dancefloor, while grappling with a devastating loss, and all the bizarre and unexpected encounters he's had along the way.

Honest, uplifting and full of hard-won wisdom, this is the unforgettable story of a boy with a head full of magic who refused to give up on his dreams.
