A promise left unfulfilled draws Liera back to the road she thought she had finally escaped.
With her mother's final wish resting on her shoulders, Liera sets out for the western lands in search of the truth about her missing father. Beside her walks Calen Kestler, whose quiet loyalty has become the one certainty she can carry into an uncertain future. Together they cross forgotten villages, meet those still haunted by the scars of war, and follow fading memories that grow harder to separate from hope.
As each step brings them closer to the answers they have sought for years, Liera begins to question whether the journey is only about finding the past, or learning how to live beyond it. Along the way, the bond between her and Calen deepens through shared hardships, quiet conversations, and the unspoken understanding that some wounds cannot be healed by answers alone.
