In his third poetry collection, Weaving Yarn, Jonathan Richards draws threads from a childhood in Kenya, a working life as a General Practitioner in Merthyr Tydfil, and as a medical and nursing leader and educator together with explorations of purpose and value in life to create reflections and narratives in his poetry.

In his third collection Weaving Yarn Jonathan Richards draws threads from a childhood in Kenya, a working life as a general practitioner in Merthyr Tydfil, as a medical and nursing leader and educator together with explorations of purpose and value in life to create reflections and narratives in his poetry.

His poems reflect the same values that defined his medical career; deep listening, shared understanding, and respect for the knowledge we all carry. Inspired by ekphrasis and grounded in clarity, these pieces speak with honesty and precision, inviting readers into a gentle yet probing exploration of the world.

Weaving Yarn is a book for those who find meaning in both the seen and the unseen - for anyone drawn to the quiet interplay between observation and insight, language and life.
